Snowcat skiing operations

Just a question for anyone out there. Has any of you ever worked for an operation that drugs an alcohol are not a major problem amidst the operators, guides and staff. After this last year of operating I have realilised that it is a major problem in the industry and I am tired of being exposed to it constantly. Ive been operating in one form or another for 25+ years and I am seriously considering a change just for that fact, of course I will keep my own cat just because I won,t be able to stay away from it. If anyone can point me in the direction of a "clean and sober" operation I would be forever it your debt thanks.

More unwanted advertisement

What is it about this site which atracts advertisment for Viagra. I wish the system would prevent these from occurring - it detracts from the quality of the site and although people dont seem to interact on threads much here, we dont want to put people off with stupid ads that seem to be avoided elsewhere.

Hope winter picks up the thread counts here and Ohara doing well.

what valve is used to control pump?

As I know every snowcat has hydraulic pump to control steering of the vehicle; on the pump there is a valve to control pump stroke, does anybody know what valves are used in Ohara? Manufacturer and model?
RE: Training Schools

Well, the training schools seemed to be a negative avenue so it was down to pestering others, enthusiasm and some good will from the wife!

As some may have pieced together, this season I self funded trips to the Alps and Norway. I was very fortunate to bank almost 100hrs in an Everest and Everest Winch whilst about 25hrs in a PB600 Polar.

I spent longer in them watching my tutors but I had to tally up my hours so thats just me driving. I still need a lot more experience to be let loose but thats not a bad start. I learned the basics and certainly was proud of my results.

The machine discussion will just get us down a route many have been down before so I'll avoid that.

So, if you want something enough, go get it! Still waiting for the school though Davee.
